Still Life Proposal

I want to do a still life picture representing myself. Some main things I want to display about myself are my phone, PJ's, music, going to shows, Gossip Girl, always late, purple, my dog, and always have gum. These are all things I like to do, have, use, or go to all the time.

Article Response

I think it's amazing that after everything he's been through, Samuel Fosso, the "Man of a Thousand Faces", is able to overcome the tragedy and hardship that's been in his life and be strong enough to pursue his creative side. Fosso doesn't let his past weigh him down or hold him back. He is able to show his pride in his culture and backround by taking self-portraits of himself dressed up as different people who have made a difference in the African community somehow. Details aren't overlooked by Fossos either; he is specific enough to wear the same Dutch prints that many African women wear. I like how his pictures have such a wide variety of characters and how you can tell exactly the type of person he is trying to represent. Fosso did an excellent job of pursuing his passion, photography.

Light Imagery Pictures

These are my two favorite pictures taken during the light imagery photo shoots. The first one was made by swinging around a cord of Christmas lights in different directions and areas. The second picture is a heart I drew in the air with a green laser pointer. I like how these two pictures have completely different elements in them, too; one of them is colorful and busy, while the other is much more simple.

Marcus Doyle

I like this picture so much because of the contrast it has. On one hand, the water park looks really inviting, but then, on the other hand, the parking lot you feel like you're standing in feels isloated, cold, and dangerous.

Marcus Doyle

Marcus mostly takes pictures of landscapes or scenery, in which he incorporates a lot of balance, symmetry, and contrast. I like how he plays with the lighting and colors in all of his photos, giving them an eerie, dark mood, even though they're mostly of gas stations, trees, roads, deserted areas, and parking lots.

Stewart Halperin

I like this photographer because of all the color present in
his pictures and the abstract angles of the pictures.
